What You’ll Need:
*Red and green craft paper
*Dowel rod or new unsharpened pencil
*Yellow Ribbon, one yard
*Red paint (optional)
*Talk with your kids about the importance of being organized, especially for school. Talk about how you will use this organizer at home or in your classroom.
*Draw and cut out an apple from the red paper. Cut a hole in to apple for the worm to peek out.
*Cut out two leaves and a worm from the green paper.
*Glue the worm to the back of the apple, so that it sticks out the hole. Glue the leaves in place. Allow to dry.
*Using the yard stick as a guide, mark each inch on the ribbon with the black marker.
*Mark the center of the dowel rod and glue the ribbon so that it is centered. Tie some yarn to each end of the rod for hanging.
*Glue the apple to the top of the ribbon.
*Paint the clothespins red or glue strips of red paper to the clothes pins. Allow to dry and clip them onto the ribbon.
*Send us a picture of your kids and their organizers and we may post it to our site! firstname.lastname@example.org.
