Camping Tent Frame
Does your family love to camp? Make this adorable picture frame to show off your favorite camping memories! If you like this craft, you’ll also like our Puzzle Planks craft - which also uses large popsicle sticks.
What You’ll Need:
*3 large popsicle sticks per frame
*Fabric scrap -- about a 6x6in square per frame
*Stick on magnet (optional)
*White chalk/paint/fabric marker
*Go through family camping photos and spend some time with your children talking about each of the trips. Choose a photo to use for your frame.
*Glue the popsicle sticks into a triangle.
*Cut the photo so that it is just slightly smaller than the popsicle stick triangle. Glue the triangle on top of the photo.
*Cut the fabric so that it is just slightly LARGER than the triangle frame. Lay it over top of the frame and cut a thin triangle out of the bottom.
*Glue the two angled sides of the fabric to the popsicle sticks. Do not glue the bottom side of the fabric. Fold back the bottom corners of the triangle you cut out of the fabric and glue to the sides, to make it like a tent opening. Glue in place. Use the white chalk/fabric marker/paint to make a line down from the tip of the triangle to the cut opening, so show the tent seam. Use a marker to write the location and date of the camping trip on the bottom popsicle stick.
*If you'd like to stick the frame to your fridge, add a stick-on magnet to the back.
*Send us a picture of your kids and their frames we may post it to our site! firstname.lastname@example.org.
